Martin Rosík

I'm a full-stack software developer, interested in computer vision, machine learning and cybersecurity. I like building reliable software, from web applications to new ideas, mainly with React and NestJS.

I'm currently studying for a Master's degree in Computer Science at UKF FPVaI in Nitra. My diploma thesis focuses on security analysis and detection of advanced mobile malware using machine learning.

Programming makes me feel like a kid again: curious, playful, and always excited to discover something new. Lately, that curiosity is taking me deeper into computer vision and machine learning. I'm also interested in cybersecurity, from mobile and network security all the way to application security, as well as software engineering and system design.

My go-to languages are Java, Python, TypeScript and JavaScript. On the frontend, I also use Vue, with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui for styling and Vite for builds. On the backend, Laravel is my second choice, with MySQL or MongoDB for storage. In my daily work, I mainly use Docker, Git, VS Code, PowerShell, pnpm, Postman and Bash.

I'm based in Slovakia. Outside of tech, I love spending time with my fiancée, being out in nature, whether on walks or on the bike. I love art and going to galleries (Salvador Dalí, Keith Haring & Olaolu Slawn are some of my favorite artists). I also enjoy movies and books (sci-fi, fantasy & biography), I have a real love for tasting new food and some coffee.
